Kapus stage protests in support of Mudragada
In response to call given by Mudragada, several Kapu organisations staged silent demonstrations at various places in East Godavari on the second day of indefinite fast taken up by the Kapunadu leader on Saturday.
Kakinada: In response to call given by Mudragada, several Kapu organisations staged silent demonstrations at various places in East Godavari on the second day of indefinite fast taken up by the Kapunadu leader on Saturday.
In Kakinada city, Kapu activists under the aegis of Kapu Sadbhavana Sangham staged demonstrations at Bhanugudi Centre by drumming the steel plate though the police force was present the in large numbers. Kapu activists Ragireddy Kumar and Mallipamula Ganapati led the demonstrations.
At Kondevaram in U Kothapalli mandal, the Mudragada sympathisers under Kapu Abhyudaya Sangham led by village elders Thota Venkatachalam, Medisetti Sriramulu, Inti Tatabbyai and Medisetty Srinivasa Rao staged sit in demonstration near village panchayat office. Similar demonstrations were also held at Vakatippa and Sriramnagar in the mandal.
Kapu organisations also conducted demonstrations in Pithapuram, Karapa, Kajuluru, Ramachandrapuram, Amalapuram, Mummidivaram, Kothapet and Mandapeta mandals in the district. In view of imposition of restorations by police, the Kapu leads confined themselves to silent demonstrations only.
