Have clarity on goals, students told
A programme on “Career Guidance and Personality Development” was conducted at SKSD Women’s Degree College here on Friday.
Tanuku: A programme on “Career Guidance and Personality Development” was conducted at SKSD Women’s Degree College here on Friday.
Dr K Aruna, Principal of the college presided over the programme, and advised the students to utilise the resources available in the college for their career development.
Prof D Venkateswara Rao, Head, Department of Public Administration, Dr CS Rao PG Centre, Sri YN College, Narsapur, attended as resource person and addressed the students on the topic.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. D Venkateswara Rao said every student must fix a goal at the college level and should develop a burning desire to accomplish it. To achieve the goals, he said there was a need to have clarity on your goals, proper planning, time management, and vision to realise the dream.
He advised students to focus on improving their communication and computer skills to face the contemporary competitive world. He provided many insights on how to become an “achiever” by presenting extraordinary lives of Abdul Kalam, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Indra Nooyi and other towering personalities, who reached great heights in their chosen filed.
Dr M Jhani of Political Science department proposed the vote of thanks. Dr Padmavathi of History department, and other faculty members and students from Humanities and Arts participated in the programme.
