MRPS leader demands atrocity case against CM
Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president Manda Krishna Madiga said that a case under the SC/ST Atrocities Act, 1989, should be filed against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for making derogatory comments against people belonging to Scheduled Caste.
Eluru: Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president Manda Krishna Madiga said that a case under the SC/ST Atrocities Act, 1989, should be filed against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for making derogatory comments against people belonging to Scheduled Caste.
He told reporters that the Chief Minister has made those comments to humiliate the Scheduled Caste people in the State. He questioned the police for keeping mum on the issue and not filing suo motu case against the Chief Minister. Even Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy did not respond to the comments made by the Chief Minister, he added.
The MRPS leader demanded the government to pass a resolution for the Scheduled Caste categorisation and also to mount pressure on the Centre to accept the bill. He said the MRPS will organise Viswaroopam, a public meeting on April 30, at the place where Naidu took oath as Chief Minister.
