Every Individual should feel responsibility in spreading the divine guidance and scriptures to the people to bring reforms in the society, said Radiance View Weekly Chief Editor Moulana Ejaz Ahmed Aslam, while speaking at a convention organized by United Forum for Quranic Studies in connection with Quran recitation competition at Auto Nagar Technicians Hall in the city on Sunday.

Ahmed Aslam felt that the children were falling prey to the evil influences of fast changing lifestyles in the present day society. “The children should know the meaning of real success and said gaining expertise is necessary, regardless of the field one was working in.”

The competition saw 300 children participating in the preliminary round. After short-listing, 30 of them were qualified to participate in the final round. The finalists were categorised into professional (children from Madarasas or Urdu schools) and non-professional (children from normal schools).

Prizes were given to the students in professional and non-professional category. The winners of both categories were given cash prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Besides, the forum also awarded the 300 semifinalists with cash prize of Rs 500, merit certificate and copy of Quran to the children.
