Mega medical camp evokes good response

Vijayawada: Mega medical camp, which was conducted on SKPVV Hindu High School premises on Friday, evoked good response from the people residing in the west part of the city. The medical camp was jointly organised by the Endocare and Sentini Hospitals.

Specialists from gynaecology, ophthalmology, cardiology, ENT, dermatology, arthritis, and general medicine examined patients at specially arranged counters. A majority of patients thronged gynecology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and general medicine counters.

Meanwhile, a team of dentists also examined the students. Children learnt about how they should take care of their teeth. They also underwent a dental checkup. The children were also given away oral hygiene kits containing tooth brush, tooth paste on the occasion.

Many people were not fully aware of the importance of dental health, neglect of which would ultimately impact the overall health, said Keerthana, dentist at the camp. Later, the representatives of Lions Club of Vijayawada and Vasavi Club of Vijayawada distributed free medicines to patients.
