Striving for new rail zone, says Ashok
Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapatiraju said that they are striving to bring a new railway zone to Visakhapatnam. Speaking at a programme here on Friday, he said all the Ministers and MPs of Andhra Pradesh are frequently meeting the Union Ministers at the Centre and urging them to make Vizag as headquarters for railway zone.
Vizianagaram: Union Minister for Civil Aviation P Ashok Gajapatiraju said that they are striving to bring a new railway zone to Visakhapatnam.
Speaking at a programme here on Friday, he said all the Ministers and MPs of Andhra Pradesh are frequently meeting the Union Ministers at the Centre and urging them to make Vizag as headquarters for railway zone.
Furthermore, getting special status is the only way to get relief from hurdles, he asserted. Later, he visited Dharmapuri village, which he adopted and reviewed the development activities there, and interacted with school children.
Furthermore, he directed the authorities to take necessary steps to complete the development works. Zilla Parishad Chairperson S Swathirani, MLAs M Geeta, K Lalitha Kumari were present.
