Resign and re-contest, Jagan dares Naidu
YSRCP chief and Leader of the Opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy dared Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to resign and re-contest in elections. Alleging that the CM purchased MLAs of YSRCP with money earned by illegal means, he termed the incident as unethical. During his visit to Kadapa district, Jagan held a closed door meeting with his party MLAs at Allam Khan Palli on Thursday.

Kadapa: YSRCP chief and Leader of the Opposition YS Jaganmohan Reddy dared Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to resign and re-contest in elections. Alleging that the CM purchased MLAs of YSRCP with money earned by illegal means, he termed the incident as unethical. During his visit to Kadapa district, Jagan held a closed-door meeting with his party MLAs at Allam Khan Palli on Thursday.
Speaking to media persons after meeting, he came down heavily at Naidu and charged that the latter won polls with highhandedness instead of people’s support. Jagan challenged Naidu to resign to the CM post and re-contest in the elections to prove his strength. Stating that no MLA has confidence on the CM, Jagan maintained that Naidu could drag only five MLAs and blasted the turncoats for their insincerity.
He expressed confidence that the defectors will never trouble the party and reiterated that it has abundant support from the people. Jagan said that people will welcome YSRCP with a red carpet, as it focuses on their problems. Lambasting Naidu, he said, “How can he roam in the villages without full-filling promises. With the loan still hanging on their necks farmers are reeling under crisis,” he added.
He urged the media persons to see the underlying truth in the issues like defections. YSRCP MLAs R Prasada Reddy, Amzad Bhasha, Srinivasulu, Srikanth Reddy, district president A Amaranath Reddy and others were also present.
