VMC Town Planning office at IGMC complex

Vijayawada: Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandiyan on Thursday asked the town planning officials to find out the feasibility on setting up of a town planning office at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation complex to release the building plans to the applicants. The Commissioner along with other engineering and town planning officials inspected the complex and inquired about the vacant rooms in the complex. He said a town planning department office at the IGMC complex would be very useful to the people.

Later, he inspected the busy MG Road. Expressing displeasure over owners of some tea stalls and shops for dumping garbage on the MG Road, he asked the public health department officials to collect a penalty of Rs 5,000 from tea kiosks and Rs 10,000 from shops. He asked the officials to be vigilant and maintain hygiene on the main roads of the city. Earlier, he visited Bhavanipuram and inspected the site for laying underground drainage pipeline.
