Rear cattle as alternative to agriculture
Agriculture Minister Prattipati Pullarao advised the farmers to give importance to cattle as an alternative to agriculture and asked them to utilise subsidy fodder being distributed by the government to come out of losses in the drought season.
Parchur: Agriculture Minister Prattipati Pullarao advised the farmers to give importance to cattle as an alternative to agriculture and asked them to utilise subsidy fodder being distributed by the government to come out of losses in the drought season.
He started the fodder unit and distributed fodder to farmers at Parchur market yard and interacted with the farmers on Friday, along with MLA Eluri Sambasiva Rao.
He said that the government is giving subsidy to farmers to set up units of rich nutrients grass varieties of hydroponics, azolla and silage types.
He assured the farmers and locals that the government would take measures to see that there would be no shortage of drinking water and promised to see water from Nagarjunasagar is released to the district. MLA Sambasiva Rao thanked the Minister for allotting the silage grass distribution unit to the district.
