Delivering key-note address of a session organised by CII here on Saturday on “Build Amaravati-Invest in Development-A shared responsibility, the CRDA commissioner said there is a need for skilled man power as housing, sports village, education centres, tourism, hospitality and service sectors are coming up in capital region in a big way.

He opined that the curriculum in educational institutions should be altered to suit the industry needs and industrialists should furnish information on their requirement to train the youth. The commissioner said the management practices of East Asian countries should be adopted for better results and he said world class infrastructure would be developed in Amaravati and a high-level bridge would be constructed across River Krishna connecting the State capital.

The CII members appealed to the CRDA commissioner to give priority for local industrial units in capital region along with international companies to develop them as ancilliary industries. Earlier, the newly-elected chairman of CII Vijayawada zone G Venkateswara Rao welcomed the gathering. Former chairman B Ashok Reddy, H N Ramprasad, vice-president, exports ITC, Guntur, P Venkat Ramreddy, vice-chairman, CII Vijayawada also spoke.
