According to the travel agents, many of the high class and budget strict families from the place are zeroing on these destinations, which offer wellness, adventure, natural landscapes, shopping and world class experience.

“Dubai is one important destination that is attracting many people across the world. One cannot blame it because it has it all. World’s best of the constructions, towers, man-made gardens, beaches, sand safari, desert experiences, best shopping, etc. Also, Dubai has a good number of Telugu people who work there. Undoubtedly, Dubai is one place that is always in demand,” said India International Tourism director Anurag.

“Thailand and Singapore are most favorites for youngsters and couples from the city. Many business trips are also planned to Bangkok, surprisingly. Many families also opt for this destination because it is very easy to visit and explore. Thailand offers an array of tourist destinations, which are both man-made as well as natural. Phuket, Pattaya, Ko Samui, Ko Lanta are just a few names to mention and the list has no end. Traveling to Thailand has become very easy and normal,” added Anurag.

Suhashini G of Travel Tours, one of the oldest travel operators said, “If not for holiday, the other destinations, which are looked up to by people of Vijayawada are definitely the USA. For four decades, a majority of the settlers in that country are from Krishna region alone. People from the region go once in a while or twice in a year to various States in the United States. There are also a few people who prefer to check out Australia though not in good numbers.”

According to the director of IITE, the number of travelers to the Middle East, South East and UAE is increasing by 2 to 5 per cent every year.
