The Vizag city, which has received Swachh Visakha award recently, is now in the race for Swachh Vidyalaya award for which 17 districts in the country are vying, informed Collector
Visakhapatnam: The Vizag city, which has received Swachh Visakha award recently, is now in the race for Swachh Vidyalaya award for which 17 districts in the country are vying, informed Collector N Yuvaraj. Stating that of the three districts identified from AP, Vizag is competing with Srikakulam and Anantapur districts, he asked the corporate bodies to take up the construction of toilets in all government schools as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
“If you send the photographs of construction work immediately, we will send the same for the selection of the award,” he said. The Collector is leaving for New Delhi on Monday to give a presentation on the construction of toilets and providing other basic facilities in all schools. Later, an official team from the Centre will come and examine for the award.
