The Srisailam Devasthanam authorities held discussions with the forest department officials to ensure that the check posts work round the clock to facilitate no hiccups to pilgrims thronging the temple town easily. The devotees of Lord Mallikarjuna are jubilant at the decision to run the check-posts 24x7 to enable them to reach the temple town easily. 

Srisailam (Project): The forest department’s check-posts one each on Andhra and Telangana side located at a distance of 50 km from here in the reserve forest will work round-the-clock from March 2 to 9 for the benefit of multitudes of devotees reaching the famous pilgrimage center by various vehicles. Normally, the check-posts work from 6 am to 9 pm daily and no vehicle will be allowed after 9 pm.
