Deputy leader Jyothula Nehru along with YSRCP MLAs met Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Saturday and demanded that the party MLAs who migrated to TDP be disqualified immediately.

Addressing the media after the meet with Speaker, Jyothula Nehru informed that the eight MLAs, who defected to the TDP after winning on YSRCP ticket have not resigned from the posts as per the provisions of Anti-Defection Bill in the 10th Schedule of the Constitution which is the reason, they needed to be disqualified immediately.

He further said that they submitted a memorandum regarding the same and that the speaker assured them that necessary action would be taken per the provisions and the legislative rules. The YSRCP MLAs who defected to TDP include Bhuma Nagireddy, Akhilapriya, Adinarayana Reddy, Jaleel Khan, Mani Gandhi, David Raju, Kalamata Venkata Ramana and Jayaramulu.
