APCC delegation heads for Delhi for AP special status

APCC president Raghuveera Reddy on Saturday along with the delegation of party leaders and workers from the North Andhra left for Delhi as a part of the 'Chalo Delhi' programme to demand the special status category for AP.

One crore signatures have been collected by the Congress party from the people on the implementation of the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act and it will be submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee in New Delhi.

The APCC members will bring notice to their demand near the Parliament to exert pressure on the Centre so that the assurances given in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 are honoured.
