For the first time in this season, the highest day temperature touched 41 degrees Celsius in Kurnool (Rayalaseema) during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am, even as dry weather prevailed in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Seema. There was no large change in the maximum temperatures in the coastal districts. They rose appreciably at one or two places in Rayalaseema. 

Hyderabad: For the first time in this season, the highest day temperature touched 41 degrees Celsius in Kurnool (Rayalaseema) during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am, even as dry weather prevailed in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Seema. There was no large change in the maximum temperatures in the coastal districts. They rose appreciably at one or two places in Rayalaseema.

They were above normal at one or two places in coastal AP and appreciably above normal in Rayalaseema. The other day temperatures recorded in the State were: Nandyal 40, Anantapur 39, Nandigama, Jangamaheswarapuram 38 each, Vijayawada 37, Tuni, Visakhapatnam Airport 36 each, Arogyavaram, Kadapa, Tirupati, Kakinada 35 each, Ongole 34, Bapatla, Kalingapatnam, Kavali, Machilipatnam, Nellore 33 each, Narsapur 32 and Visakhapatnam 31.

There was also no large change in the minimum temperatures in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. They were above normal at one or two places in the coastal districts and Rayalaseema. The lowest minimum temperature of 19 degrees Celsius was recorded in Nandigama and Arogyavaram.

The other recordings were: Anantapur 20, Bapatla, Kalingapatnam 21 each, Nandyal 22, Machilipatnam, Narsapur, Jangamaheswarapuram, Tuni,Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam 23 each.
