The three day playlet competition that was organised by Tapaswi Cultural Arts concluded on Sunday at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College and the playlet ‘Evarini Evaru Kshaminchali’ was adjudged as best Production.

The three day playlet competition that was organised by Tapaswi Cultural Arts concluded on Sunday at Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College and the playlet ‘Evarini Evaru Kshaminchali’ was adjudged as best Production.

KJR Cultural Association, Secunderabad staged ‘Evarini Evaru Kshaminchali’ and won the best production and Uday Bhagavatula received the best director award. ‘Nanati Batuku Natakamu’, presented by New Star Modern Theatre, Hyderabad bagged second best production while best villain award to Prakash.

Valluri Shiva Prasad got Best script award for his playlet ‘Ranke’ staged by Aravinda Atrs, Tadepalli. Lakshmi and N. Ravendra Reddy, who acted in the playlet ‘shhhh… Silence’, adjudged as best actress and best actor. The competitions were commenced with the playlet ‘Ranke’ staged by Aravinda Arts, Tadepalli.

The playlet was written by Valluri Sivaprasad and directed by Gangotri Sayi. The artistes performed well and the technical effects were appreciated by the spectators. On the inaugural day the dais was chaired by eminent ladies like Manepalli Lakshmi Kumari, Sobha Manjari, Superintendent of Police, Guntur, Kondapalli Anasuya, Corporator, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, S Swaroopa Rani, Educationalist, Nadendla Padmasi, Director, SREES organisation, C Radhakumari and Advocate, D Indumati.

On the second day ‘shhhh… Silence’ was staged by Abhinaya Arts, Guntur. This was written by Sistla Chandra sekhar and directed by N Ravendra Reddy. ‘Nanati batuku natakamu’ staged by Newstar modern theaters, Hyderabad and MS Choudary was the writer and director of this play.

On the concluding day ‘Matrutwam’ and ‘Evarini Evaru Kshaminchali’ play lets were staged. During the three days noted Classical dancer Maddali Saichandrika, senior stage actor Anata Hrudayaraj and actor Vemuri Nageswara Sarma were felicitated by the organizers.
