Beginning  with the Akurarpana on April 2 at 6 pm  in the evening, the festivities will pick up on April 3 with Vedic rituals at the yagashala from 10.30 am to 12 pm. 

Tirupati: The annual Pushpayagam at Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy temple at Srinivasa Mangapuram will be performed on the lines of Srivari temple on April 3.

Beginning with the Akurarpana on April 2 at 6 pm in the evening, the festivities will pick up on April 3 with Vedic rituals at the yagashala from 10.30 am to 12 pm.

Later, Snapana Thirumanjanam for both Lord Venkateswara and Goddess Padmavati during which priests perform abhisekham to the deities with turmeric, kumkum, sandal, milk, curd, honey, perfume water and variety of flowers and fruits. Later, Pushpa Yagam will be performed from 2.30 pm to 5 pm with variety of colourful flowers Tulasi, Chamanti, Ganneru, Malle, Jaji, Sampangi, Rose and other flowers and leaves. Unjal Seva from 6.30 pm and procession from 7 pm to 8 pm will be taken out in the streets.

All Arjita Sevas in the temple have been cancelled for the sake of Pushpayagam on April 3, but devotees can perform Pushpayagam on the same day after payment of Rs 516 and beget Lord’s prasadam, a blouse and a uttariyam
Pushpayagam is a ritual performed at the temple of TTD to purify and sanctify the precincts against any lapses in procedures and rituals by priests, temple officials or even devotees during a nine-day annual Brahmotsavams. Conduct of Pushpayagam will cleanse the temple of all impurities.
