Lok Satta party founder and president Dr Jayaprakash Narayan is all set to quit politics. While he is yet to make an official announcement, Jayaprakash Narayan revealed to the media that he leaving out the responsibility to few others in the party.

Stating that the Lok Satta Party won't be participating in the coming elections or by-elections, Mr Narayan said that they would continue as a non-governmental organisation. Founding the party in the year 1996, he made it a formal political party on October 2, 2006. Jayaprakash Narayan won as a member of the legislative assembly for Kukatpally constituency in AP in 2009 but lost as Member of parliament from Malkajgiri in 2014 against TDP candidate Malla Reddy.
