Raghuveera lambasts TDP

* Accuses the government of ignoring pre-poll promises
* Calls upon youth Congress leaders to strengthen party from grassroots

Vijayawada: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy on Thursday asked the youth congress leaders and activists to play significant role to strengthen the party from the grassroots and called upon them to teach TDP-run government to fitting lesson for failing on pre-poll promises.

He lashed out at the Telugu Desam Party and alleged that it failed to give a job to one person in each family (intintiki oka udyogam) as promised during the election campaign. Raghuveera alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has replaced job with training. Launching a scathing attack against both TDP and YSRCP, the PCC chief accused the parties of not raising the issue of special status to State.

Earlier, he inaugurated State office of Youth Congress at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan and suggested the leaders to constitute mandal-level committees to strengthen the party and help the unemployed youth. Reiterating that State cannot be developed unless special status granted, he called upon the party leaders and activists to fight tooth and nail for it.
