Kurnool: In their bid to intensify the four-year-old Rayalaseema statehood struggle the Seema Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders have decided to meet the separatist agitators of Telangana to seek their support.

Seema leader and founder-president of Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samiti Byreddy Rajasekhar Reddy, who is on a bus yatra in the Rayalaseema districts since February 14 to mobilise the people in support of the statehood, decided to write shortly to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR).

He has also decided to tour Telangana and seek the support of the Seema people settled there. Byreddy, who went underground following the 2014 general elections, appears to have come to a conclusion it would be easy to secure Rayalaseema State if struggles on the lines of that organised in Telangana are conducted. His decision is based on the resolve to make the region green with the help of Telangana, which shares a border with Seema spread over 300 km.

The success achieved by the Telangana agitators in securing widespread support within and outside the country also made him to come to this decision. He is preparing to get in touch using the social media with residents of Rayalaseema who are settled elsewhere in the country and abroad.
