Call to set up industries

Rajamahendravaram: Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai called upon young entrepreneurs to come forward to set up new industries.
She took part in the awareness programme for young entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurship Development Programme, held under the aegis of the District Industries Centre, East Godavari at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kalakendram here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajani Sesha Sai stressed the need for industrial development in the wake of financial difficulties after the bifurcation of the state. She advised young entrepreneurs to march forward with action plan to become successful entrepreneurs and make use of the assistance of banks. By assuring all the support from Municipal Corporation of Rajamahendravaram to set up industries, she suggested to the youth to take care of greenery and prevention of pollution.
Speaking on the occasion, General Manager, DIC, K Sudhakar said that many industrialists have become successful by taking assistance from banks and youth should make use of banks in proper manner. He informed that backward class youth are also being given loans on par with SCs and STs. He mentioned that youth are coming forward to set up coir-based industries in the East Godavari district. He explained that all permissions would be sanctioned to set up industries within 21 days under single desk system.
He added that DIC is creating awareness among youth on what kind of industries could be set up in the district, how to avail loans, preparing project reports and on the incentives being given by the government.
Chief Manager, State Bank of India, Vinod Kumar observed that several youth are not setting up units after availing loan facility from banks and advised them to excel by setting up good units.
Factory Inspector GVB Narayana Rao has assured that all permissions would be given within one week if every detail is proper. Regional Director, Town and Country Planning, Ranganayakulu called upon youth to focus on proper site and transportation.
