AP gets 140.84 cr

The Union government on Friday released Rs 140.84 crore for AP government as part of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) funds, while Telangana got Rs 328.16 crore under the said scheme.
New Delhi: The Union government on Friday released Rs 140.84 crore for AP government as part of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) funds, while Telangana got Rs 328.16 crore under the said scheme. This was disclosed by the Finance Department sources here on Friday. Earlier, the AP government had received Rs 34.27 crore, while Telangana got Rs 56.3 crore. The amount released on Friday is in addition to the amount sanctioned in the past. However, it may be recalled that AP government had sought Rs 395.27 crore from the Centre, while placed a requisition for the release of Rs 712.62 crore for relief and rehabilitation.
