Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday gave nod for implementation of schemes meant for the welfare of the women in the State.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday gave nod for implementation of schemes meant for the welfare of the women in the State.
These include launching an exclusive toll-free helpline - '181'- for women in distress, Kanya Shakti teams to be set up in all junior and degree colleges in the State and compulsory non-combat training for girls in educational institutions.
Naidu directed the officials to organise free master heath checkups for women above 35 years age. The officials told the CM that 10 mother and child hospitals with 100 bed capacity would be ready by July 1. They further said that women development and child welfare department will conduct free tele-sonography service in 223 health centres in the State.
When the officials told the CM that out of 53,000 Anganwadi centres in the State, 9,000 centres do not have any buildings, he directed them to prepare an action plan for the construction of same.
