District Collector Vijaymohan on Thursday visited the Sangameswaram as part of inspecting the arrangements for Krishna Pushkaralu . He said that a pushkar ghat would be built at Sangameswaram instead of Kapileswaram. Tenders have been finalised for implementing 19 pushkar works at a cost of Rs 30 crore. The works should be grounded two weeks after reaching an agreement, he said.

Atmakur (Kurnool): District Collector Vijaymohan on Thursday visited the Sangameswaram as part of inspecting the arrangements for Krishna Pushkaralu . He said that a pushkar ghat would be built at Sangameswaram instead of Kapileswaram. Tenders have been finalised for implementing 19 pushkar works at a cost of Rs 30 crore. The works should be grounded two weeks after reaching an agreement, he said. He directed laying black-top road linking Kapileswaram with Sangameswaram.
He asked the Endowments Commissioner Gayatri Devi to prepare proposals to rebuilding the compound wall to the temple at Sangameswaram.
Predicting that over one lakh would take holy bath during the pushkarams, the Collector said funds would be arranged for providing amenities like parking, electricity, shelter and so on.
Vijaymohan said that he would get Rs 224 crore sanctioned by Chief Minister at a meeting to be held with him on April 16 by submitting him more plans for pushakaram celebrations. Divisional Forest Officer Selvam, officer on special duty Ravi Prakash, irrigation executive engineer Mallikarjuna and others accompanied the Collector.
