APCC President N Raghuveera Reddy reiterated that Congress party is committed to protect the interest of Dalits and downtrodden communities in the country. After launching a bus yatra here on Friday, he said AICC chief Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi were in the forefront to protect the interests of the SC, ST, BCs and marginalised sections.

Addressing a public meeting held at Renuka Kalyanamantapam here, he made blistering attack on the Narendra Modi government alleging that minorities in the country were in a state of insecurity. Former minister and Congress leader Sailajanath and district Congress president Venugopala Reddy participated in the bus yatra.
