Amidst all the speculation over BJP breaking alliance with the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh, the party spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao and Health Minister K Srinivas set the record straight by denying the reports.

Earlier reports were doing the rounds that BJP had decided to severe ties with TDP and contest the upcoming elections on its own. However, Narasimha Rao revealed that the rumours are baseless. Even the Health Minister confirmed that the BJP alliance with TDP would continue and said that they are planning to strengthen the party in the state. The Minister also said that the allocation of funds to AP cannot be called meagre as the Centre is extending all the support to the state.

BJP floor leader in AP Assembly Vishnu Kumar Raju too cleared the rumours saying that the BJP-TDP alliance would continue for the development of the state and added that BJP is planning to expand its base in the state but are not breaking the alliance with TDP.
