The Minister said that the TDP government had introduced several welfare schemes for SC, ST, BC and minorities. Bojjala participated in 109th birth anniversary celebrations of Babu Jagjivan Ram at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister recalled the great services rendered by the former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjivan Ram for the benefit of Dalits.

He has enlisted various welfare schemes being implemented by the TDP government to uplift Dalits. The Minister made an appeal to Dalit leaders to play an active role in the implementation of welfare schemes earmarked for the SC, ST, BC and minorities. Earlier, the Minster paid floral tributes to the portrait of Babu Jagjivan Ram at Ambedkar Bhavan in which District Collector Siddharth Jain, ZP Chairperson Girvani, Chittoor MP Dr N Sivaprasad and other leaders and officials were present.

Sivaprasad said that national leaders like Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram have facilitated political power to Dalits. The MP said that Chandrababu Naidu has been making efforts to develop Dalits in the State. Joint Collector Subba Reddy, DSP Lakshmi Naidu, TDP and Dalit leaders were present.
