Vijayawada: Leaders and cadres of BJP celebrated the party’s 37th Formation Day at the State unit office here on Wednesday. Party State general secretary Jammula Syam Kishore hoisted the BJP flag and garlanded the portraits of Syam Prasada Mukharjee and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya to mark the celebrations.
Speaking on the occasion, Syam Kishore called upon the party activists to extend their solidarity in strengthening the party from the grassroots level. He said that party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was exploring all possibilities to implement welfare schemes to benefit the poor and middle class sections.
Listing out the schemes launched by the Prime Minister, he said Atal Pension Scheme was launched to benefit the workers in the unorganised sector. Skill India is focusing on creating jobs for the youth, while AMRUT scheme aimed at improving water supply and sewerage facilities. He further stated that party activists should conduct regular campaigns regarding the welfare schemes taken by the BJP government to benefit the common people.
Meanwhile, BJP city president D Umamaheswara Raju unfurled the BJP flag in the city office. Party cadres took out bike rallies and other programmes, including blood donation camps across the city in this connection. BJP city leaders P Malla Kondaiah, A Srinivas Raju, Adapa Nagendra, Sk Pakir Ahmed and others took part in the party Formation Day
celebrations.
