Addressing the gathering, Andhra Pradesh Customs Commissioner SK Rahman said that Ambedkar was an inspiring personality of the bygone era, who will be remembered forever.

Addressing the gathering, Andhra Pradesh Customs Commissioner SK Rahman said that Ambedkar was an inspiring personality of the bygone era, who will be remembered forever.

APSRTC Deputy Chief Traffic Manager John Sukumar said that Ambedkar had laid foundation for a democratic country giving due respect for people and their opinions, he said. Assistant Customs Commissioner Vivek Gupta, superintendents G Seetharamaiah Chowdary, M Srinivas, Vijaya Paul, Chalamaiah and others were present.

‘Ambedkar influenced Dalit journalists’ The SSBMSM Entrepreneurs Chamber of India has organsied a seminar on ‘Journalism-Ambedkarism’ at Chandra Rajeswara Rao Library in the city on Wednesday. Editor of ‘The Friday Mail’ D Durgam Raju presided over the seminar and spoke about the influence of Ambedkar on journalists hailing from the backward communities.

Speaking on the occasion, Employment Generation Officer D Victor Babu opined that one can relate to the life and values of Ambedkar closely to journalism. Society of India State president M Jhansi Rani said that there was great impact of Ambedkar on the youth of educated sector of BC, SC and ST communities.

Dalita Hakkula Porata Samithi State secretary B Rayappa, editor of ‘Desam’ newspaper G Vijay Kumar, former Sarpanch Seelam Ranga Rao, V Ashok, Y Ratnama and others spoke on the occasion. Renowned folk artist Damodara Ganapathi Rao sung a few lines paying high tributes to Ambedkar, enlivening the gathering.

Emulate Ambedkar for development:
APSYF Members of Andhra Pradesh Student Youth Federation (APSYF) staged a protest at Chuttugunta here on Wednesday, demanding that people’s representatives emulate the ideology of Dr BR Ambedkhar for the holistic development of society. Speaking on the occasion, APSYF founder president Navaneetham Sambasiva Rao said that even majority of those who love and respect have not seen him beyond the architect of the Indian Constitution and advocator for reservation. APSYF State leaders P Rajendra, Lanka Govindarajulu and others also took part in the protest.
