Kanaka Durga temple goes international
Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri here is planning to spread its services internationally. As part of it, the temple authorities are deputing a six-member team to USA to perform various pujas of Goddess Kanaka Durga at different cities in America.
Vijayawada: Kanaka Durga temple atop Indrakeeladri here is planning to spread its services internationally. As part of it, the temple authorities are deputing a six-member team to USA to perform various pujas of Goddess Kanaka Durga at different cities in America.
The team led by assistant executive officer Sravanam Atchyuta Ramaiah is leaving for USA on April 19 and will visit various cities till May-end to perform pujas including Sri Sakthi puja, Lalitha Sahasranamam and Khadgamala and to bring awareness among NRIs on the online puja services available at Durga temple here.
Speaking to The Hans India, assistant executive officer Atchyutaramaiah said that the temple chief priests would start performing Durga puja from San Francisco on April 23. He said the team will explain the services available through Durga temple website www.Durgamma.com to people.
He said various Telugu associations in America had invited them. Several other temples, including Annavaram, Bhadrachalam, and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have also sent teams earlier to explain the puja facilities at their respective temples to NRIs.
