Bridge across Vasista to improve quality of life for Narsapur residents

Thanking the Chief Minister for signing an MOU with Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) in this regard, he said the construction of bridge is the long-awaited dream of denizens of twin Godavari districts. He said the fate of Narsapur in West Godavari district, a business nerve centre during the Dutch period, hinged on the proposal for construction of a bridge across the Vasista River.
Narsapur still depends on a launch for ferrying people to and from habitations on the either side of the Vasista, he added. Speaking to the media, the MLA said that he sought the Chief Minister to construct a bridge across Vasista Godavari River to improve road connectivity between East and West Godavari districts.
Following which, the Chief Minister met Union Minister for Surface Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari and sought necessary permission for the construction of a bridge across Vasista River, he said.
