Hyderabad: The Met office has warned of heat wave conditions continuing in many parts of Anantapur, Chittoor, Kadapa and Kurnool districts on April 18. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Dry weather is likely to prevail in Rayalaseema.

While most places in the Seema are likely to record maximum temperature between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius. The Met forecast said dry weather is likely to prevail in the coastal districts and Rayalaseema. On Sunday, rain occurred at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh while dry weather prevailed in Rayalaseema. One cm of rain occurred in Paderu of Vishakhapatnam district.

There was no large change in maximum temperatures in coastal AP and Rayalaseema. They were above normal at one or two places in coastal districts and appreciably above normal at many places in Rayalaseema. The highest day temperature of over 43.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Jangamaheswarapuram, Anantapur and Kurnool.

The other temperatures recorded elsewhere in the State were: Kadapa 42.1, Tirupati 41.2, Nellore 40.2, Nandigama 40.1, Arogyavaram 39.3, Kavali, Tuni 38.2 each, Kakinada 37.1, Machilipatnam, Ongole 36.1 each, Visakhapatnam Airport 36.1, Bapatla, Narsapur 35.1 each, Kalingapatnam 34.1 and Visakhapatnam 31.
