Amaravati: Kapu Corporation chairman Chalamalasetti Ramanujaya said that the State government led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is committed to the welfare of Kapus.
He addressed a meeting held to create awareness on activities of Kapu Corporation to Kapus in Guntur on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he assured that the Kapu Corporation will sanction loans to all eligible and urged the Kapus to avail the facility provided by the government. He assured that the government will include Kapus in the list of BCs and that is why the government has constituted the Manjunath Commission to make necessary recommendations. He further said that they would construct Kapu Samkshema Bhavans in all 13 districts in the State. He explained activities of Kapu Corporation.
Palacole MLA Nimmala Rama Naidu felt that there is need to include Kapus in the list of BCs because they are economically backward. He felt that if they are given reservations, they will develop socially and economically. He reminded that the State government has allotted Rs 1,000 crore for Kapu Corporation to sanction loans to Kapus and urged the eligible to avail the facility provided by the government. He stressed on unity among Kapus to achieve their demands.
