Anantapur: All arrangements were made for uniting 250 couples from poor families in the presence of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at an impressive function to be held at Sri Venkateswara temple in Paritala’s native village of Venkatapuram on Thursday.
Apart from the Chief Minister and prominent persons of the ruling TDP, the State government officials and over two lakh would visit the temple in connection with the marriage celebrations.
Arrangements were made at the temple for provide drinking water and food to the visitors.
In the event organised by Paritala Charitable Trust, eight guests for each couple are being allowed to participate. Earlier, Paritala Ravindra, the slain MLA, conducted the marriages twice. Subsequently, Paritala Sunita, the widow of the MLA and Civil Supplies Minister, united 500 couples in the wedlock. District Superintendent of Police Rajasekhara Babu is beefing up the security for the Chief Minister’s visit.
