Vijayawada: Minister for Social Welfare Ravela Kishore Babu said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wants to lay a strong foundation for the SC/ST students by providing quality education through residential schools so that each and every student can make a mark in their chosen field.
The Minister on Friday visited a painting camp on ‘Chandranna Samkeshma Palana’ at the art gallery in Cultural Centre of Vijayawada. The camp was being organised by the Andhra Pradesh Social Welfare Residential Education Institutions Society from April 17 to 20. The exhibition of paintings will continue till April 24. The workshop was conducted in connection with the 66th birthday of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

About 70 paintings done by 60 painters will be displayed till April 24. The schemes of TDP government viz inter-caste marriage, scholarships to the students, aid to agricultural farmers, transformation of social hostels to Gurukul schools, senior citizen pension schemes among others were depicted in the paintings. CEO of Cultural Centre E Sivanagi Reddy, Joint Director of Social Welfare Department R Mallikharjuna Rao, secretary of SWREIS V Ramulu, Fine Arts Advisor M Bala Mani and others were present.
