4 persons die in 3 accidents
It was a tragic Sunday for four families in Prakasam district, which lost their beloved in various road accidents. The series of accidents started with a collision between two auto rickshaws at JP Cheruvu in Racharla mandal. Kommunuri Simha Rayudu (25) of Ankalamma Palle in Giddalur mandal died on the spot and two others were injured and shifted to nearby hospital.

In another incident, an auto rickshaw lost control and hit a motorcyclist coming opposite to it at Mallapuram village in Bestavarapet mandal. Balaiah (35) breathed his last in the accident while one other person is injured. The third accident happened at Karemchedu railway gate in Chirala.
As the gatekeeper signaled for closing the gate, a car coming from Karemchedu to Chirala and two youth on a bike going towards Karemchedu raised the accelerator. The two vehicles hit hard and the two young men fell on the ground causing injuries to head. The bike rider immediately died, while his friend was dead on the way to a hospital.
