YSRCP leaders on Saturday took out Save Democracy candle rally in Guntur city protesting ‘anti-democratic activities of TDP government such as a purchase of YSRCP MLAs’. Amaravati: YSRCP leaders on Saturday took out ‘Save Democracy’ candle rally in Guntur city protesting ‘anti-democratic activities of TDP government such as a purchase of YSRCP MLAs’. The candle rally started at party district office and reached Ambedkar Statue Centre. Responding to party state leaders call, they took out candle rally.
Speaking on this occasion, MLC and party leader Ummareddy Venkateswarulu alleged that the Chief Minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, was purchasing opposition MLAs and encouraging defections. He criticised that the CM had no faith in the Constitution. He alleged that the opposition was highlighting his failures and corruption in the government. That was the reason why he was purchasing the YSRCP MLAs.
He warned that the voters would teach a lesson to the TDP government. He criticised that the government had failed to keep up its promises. The rally passed through Sankar Vilas Centre, AL Pet police station and reached Ambedkar statue. Later, the protesters came back to YSRCP office. Lella Appi Reddy led the rally.
YSRCP district president Marri Rajasekhar, MA Alla Rama Krishna Reddy, Ambati Rambabu, Meruga Nagarjuna were among those participated.
