The NABARD has provided Rs 6.5 crore to the Agricultural College of Mahanandi for the development of basic infrastructure. Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday after assuming office as the new Associate Dean of the Agricultural College, D Balaguravaiah said development of the college and hostel buildings would be taken up with the NABARD funds.

​Mahanandi (Kurnool): The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has provided Rs 6.5 crore to the Agricultural College of Mahanandi for the development of basic infrastructure. Speaking to newsmen here on Wednesday after assuming office as the new Associate Dean of the Agricultural College, D Balaguravaiah said development of the college and hostel buildings would be taken up with the NABARD funds.

A Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant would be set up to augment drinking water supply. Steps would also be taken to improve the educational standards of the college of ANGRAU. The Junior Research Fellowship programme would be introduced. The College Day and Hostel Day would be celebrated on May 6 and 7 on a grand scale, he said.
