Kakinada: The fisheries department of East Godavari identified 19,000 fishermen working in 2,814 mechanised and motored boats for fishing holiday compensation. Deputy Director of fisheries, T Kalyanam said that they are computerising the details.
“The fishing holiday compensation of Rs 4,000 for the two month period would be credited into bank accounts of the fishermen. The GO on compensation would be expected in a day or two,” he added.
