Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday, promised to introduce digital classrooms in government schools once the fiber grid project is completed.
He further said that 100 government schools would soon have video conferencing facility on priority.
Addressing the second council meeting of the Progressive Recognised Teachers’ Union (PRTU) here, Naidu said that he had taken up digitalisation of the State and would provide internet and television services to every family and office. The government schools too would be provided with the net facility, he said.
While promising better pay and service conditions for the teachers, the Chief Minister asked them to compete with the private schools and universities and improve educational standards in the government institutions.
Naidu also promised own houses for the teachers across the State and wanted the teachers to enroll their children in the government schools.
Chandrababu Naidu said that he was working on the plans to make the State a knowledge hub and provide better knowledge and skills for the students.
The Chief Minister also asked the teachers to create water harvesting systems in all schools and even at their houses to improve water
reserves in the State.
He asked them to create awareness among students on water harvesting mechanism.
