Forest produce procurement prices hiked

The Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) has increased the procurement prices of different forest products. In a statement here on Thursday, GCC divisional manager Kailasagiri said the decision was taken to ensure that tribals engaged in the collection of forest products in the Agency areas get more income.

In a statement here on Thursday, GCC divisional manager Kailasagiri said the decision was taken to ensure that tribals engaged in the collection of forest products in the Agency areas get more income.
He urged tribals to sell their forest produce at the GCC procurement centres for a better price without being exploited by middlemen.
