Jagan slams inefficient CM
YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy came down heavily on Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu alleging that his government had failed completely in mitigating the effects of drought in the State.

He alleged that not even a single meeting was convened by the government to discuss the problems being faced by farmers due to severe shortage of water.
The Leader of Opposition, with his YSRCP supporters in tow, staged a protest at tahsildar’s office in Macherla with empty pots on Monday.
Speaking on this occasion, he said: “Due to drought, groundwater reserves are depleting. Agriculture workers are migrating to other districts in search of work.
In spite of such acute water shortage, the Chief Minister did not even conduct a single meeting to discuss ways and means to tackle drought.” He also alleged that the State government was diverting MNREGS funds for its pet projects, leaving the agriculture labourers in a lurch.
“The Centre has released Rs 4,500 crore for the purpose, but the TDP government has diverted Rs 1,000 crore for laying cement roads and Rs 2,500 crore for its pompous Neeru-Chettu programme.”
The YSRCP chief also accused Chief Minister of turning a blind eye to severe drinking water crisis in the State. He pointedly questioned the Naidu government as it was not fulfilling the promises made during elections such as at least one job per family, unemployment dole among others.
“He (Naidu) is busy purchasing MLAs with his ill-gotten money and his Ministers are completely mired in corruption,” he lambasted.MLC Ummareddy Venkateswarulu criticised that Naidu was hardly bothered about people’s problems.
MLAs Pinnelli Rama Krishna Reddy, Shaik Mustafa, Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy, YSRC leader Lella Appi Reddy were among those participated.
Later, Jagan submitted a memorandum to the Macherla tahsildar K Phani Kumar urging to take steps to provide drinking water to people.
