Atmakur (Kurnool): A remote settlement village Siddapuram in the district hogged the lime light with a native of the village Vijayasimha Reddy getting the 588th rank in civil services examination conducted by the UPSC, the results of which were released on Tuesday.
Right from childhood, he evinced much interest in academics. He finished his B Tech and found placement in the Infosys. He prepared for the Civil Services while working in the Infosys. Later, he left the job and enrolled in Vajiram coaching institute and Ravi coaching institute at Delhi and worked hard for 16 hours a day.
His father was a Mandal Parishad President of Atmakur and his grandfather was Siddapuram sarpanch. He said that he derived inspiration from his school, his parents and teachers. He was keen to get the good name for Siddapuram a rehabilitation village of former criminals removed forever. He is keen to serve the poor by working in revenue department.
