He inspected works at temporary Secretariat building at Velagapudi and enquired about the progress of the works. Addressing the media, he said that employees will be shifted to the temporary Secretariat by June 27.

He instructed the representatives of construction companies to complete the construction of temporary Secretariat within the stipulated time.

The Minister said the CRDA will distribute lands to the farmers, when Secretariat begins functioning and added that the farmers who gave their lands for the construction of capital under the land pooling system will get plots soon.

He said the CRDA will give 250 square yard plots and commercial plots to all the farmers. It may be mentioned here that the CRDA already started distributing plots to the farmers. It has taken steps to lay eight elevated highways to temporary Secretariat from Tadepalli.

The district administration is also planning to set up Anna Canteens to provide meals at Rs 5. The forest department is raising nurseries to develop greenery in the capital region.

Meanwhile, the APSRTC Vijayawada and Guntur regions are ready to operate additional buses to Thullur for the convenience of the employees. The government has also announced 30 per cent HRA allowance to the employees.
