In Eluru, the officials seized some key documents from the house of K Satyanarayana said to be a binami to motor vehicle inspector Nayak. 

Eluru/Palacole: Central Investigation Unit (CIU) officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday raided the houses of Palacole motor vehicle inspector Bhanuthi Swarna Srinivas Nayak in West Godavari district on Thursday. The officials also carried out raids in Kakinada, Amalapuram, Vijayawada and Bangalore simultaneously.

In Palacole, the team has seized Rs 24,000 and some important documents. In Eluru, the officials seized some key documents from the house of K Satyanarayana said to be a binami to motor vehicle inspector Nayak.

So far, the officials have confiscated documents pertaining to land documents worth crores of rupees and other land documents, sources said.

When contacted CIU DSP Prasad said he would disclose how much they found in the search on Friday only as the searches were still going on.
In another incident, the ACB sleuths arrested village revenue officer (VRO) Pulla Nagaiah of I.S. Raghavapuram village in Dwaraka Tirumala on the charges of receiving bribe from a person on Thursday.

According to officials here, Nagaiah, the VRO of I.S. Raghavapuram demanded Rs 5,000 to sanction pattadar passbook to Akkisetti Subba Rao of IS Raghavapuram. Subba Rao applied for the passbook through Mee Seva. He got an SMS that the passbook was approved. Nagaiah informed Subbarao over a phone that his passbook was ready. He went to VRO’s office on March 28. However, the VRO did not issue the passbook and demanded Rs 5,000. At last, the victim Subba Rao approached ACB DSP Rajendra, following which, the ACB swung into action and nabbed the VRO.
