Speed up works on Pushkaralu, says CM’s Secretary
Secretary to Chief Minister G Sai Prasad on Wednesday directed the officials to speed up the development works taken up for the ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu. The CM’s Secretary, accompanied by District Collector Babu A, Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian and other officials, visited Durga Ghat, Apron, Model-Guest House, Berm Park, Rajiv Gandhi Park and other places in the city.
Vijayawada: Secretary to Chief Minister G Sai Prasad on Wednesday directed the officials to speed up the development works taken up for the ensuing Krishna Pushkaralu. The CM’s Secretary, accompanied by District Collector Babu A, Municipal Commissioner G Veerapandian and other officials, visited Durga Ghat, Apron, Model-Guest House, Berm Park, Rajiv Gandhi Park and other places in the city and reviewed the progress of Pushkaralu works.
He asked the officials to make elaborate arrangements to ensure that pilgrims take a holy dip in the river without any discomfort. The officials should see that the contractors executing the works strictly adhere to quality standards. Focus should be laid on timely completion of the works, he said.
Apprising Sai Prasad of the progress of various development works taken up for Pushkaralu, the Collector said a 4 km long Pushkar Ghat would be constructed on Prakasam Barrage downstream. A control room equipped with modern gadgets would be set up in the Model-Guest House area.
