Visakhapatnam: The State needs over one lakh acres of land for setting up new industries, APIIC vice-chairman and managing director B Sridhar has said.
He said accordingly his department was taking all measures to acquire the required land through various agencies. Sridhar held a meeting with District Collector Dr N Yuvaraj, Joint Collector J Niwas and APIIC officials here on Thursday.
Speaking to press persons later, he said: “As of now the APIIC has 40,000 acres and it is being allotted to priority industries.” On Visakha-Chennai industrial corridor, he said plans were afoot to acquire required lands.
