Hyderabad: Despite the top leaders of BJP and TDP claiming that there was no threat to the alliance, second- rung leaders in both parties
are trading charges against each other. Apparently, top BJP leaders will be addressing meetings in various places in AP, parallel to TDP
Mahanadu, to inform people about the support and funds extended by Centre.

The issue had even figured prominently during various mini Mahanadus and the leaders continue to allege that the Centre was not giving
enough funds and had failed to hand hold the State government. Countering the argument, some AP BJP leaders like Somu Veerraju and
others did not succeed in convincing the people that the Centre was extending all necessary help to the State government.

In this backdrop, the State BJP has now decided to organise series of public meeting across the State from May 27 when the TDP
Mahanadu would begin at Tirupati to explain about the help the Centre had extended to the residuary State. It will come out with the
figures of allocations made under various heads. The party wants to use this as a tool to get a firm footing in the AP.

The public meetings would be named as Vikas partv. In fact, this is part of the overall policy of the BJP high command which had planned
to organise 200 such meetings across the country.

As part of this exercise, the state executive meeting of AP unit of BJP would be held at Vijayawada on May 25 to chalk out an action plan.
Some Union Ministers like HRD Minister Smriti Irani will participate in these meetings and she is expected to address a public meeting at
Vijayawada on May 27.

Similar meetings will be organised in places like Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Rajamahendravaram, Nellore, Kurnool, Anantapur and
Tirupati, which will be addressed by Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Dharmendra Pradhan, Manohar Parikkar, Piyush
Goyal, Prakash Javadekar and Uma Bharti respectively.
