Speaking on the occasion, MLAs said that donating blood is saving one’s life as it is very vital for sustaining a person’s life on death bed. “Blood donation not only helps in saving lives, but also contributes to generation of new blood in the donor’s body. The cycle will help the person stay energetic and healthy.

Any person who couldn’t afford a single penny can also contribute to the society by donating blood, which is very much valued. There are thousands of people in and around the city who are in need of it, said Chairman of the Red Cross blood bank Dr Samaram.

About 50 units of blood were collected during this camp. Blood bank coordinator D Ravi, medical officer Dr Madan Mohan, Dr Maru and others were present.
